"I tried to take everything how i recorded it, or that the process of how i made shadow behind the iron sun, that was only created for recording purposes," he says. "That then led me to feeling i had the confidence to give totally improvised live performances. And so i did a few of those, but i do remember one i gave at the queen elizabeth hall. That was an absolute disaster in every sense."
