The ZS Watch Is an Open Source Hardware Smartwatch

ZS Watch, an open source hardware smartwatch is as DIY as it gets. A flex sensor for a glove controller uses an LDR, a light dependent resistor. The earliest post of exactly this concept on Hackaday comes from 2011 building optical flex sensors. Another hack dates back at least to 2001 and Paul Dietz mentions that this is all work that was covered in a 1982 patent.
