The Limit to Refugees in the UK
If you're coming from France, it's a safe European country. I think there's a debate to be had about we've already taken a large number of refugees through legal proper schemes that the government has set up. There isn't an application process for the Afghan resettlement scheme right now. So by that logic, essentially, you would be saying, just don't come to the UK. Just stay in France. Apply for asylum in the first safe country you get. You can't do that in the UK because there's no asylum resettlement scheme. They're not all not everyone coming from France.
