That's such a cute idea. What is the best book you've read or listened to in the past year? I
Speaker 1
don't listen to books. I only read them. And I'm looking right now to tell you. So this is not a particularly new book. I think it's newish, but I'm a big Barbara Kingsolver fan. And if you haven't read Demon Copperhead, which I think is her latest book, she's just a brilliant writer, a brilliant developer of characters, a brilliant mind when it comes to the human psyche. And Demon Copperhead is like the perfect example of that. So that I would say on the fiction side. And then on the nonfiction side, if you haven't read Chip War, it's just a really fascinating and insightful view into world of AI and chips and this critical technology that is now central to international relations, especially in some of the most difficult regions to predict around. Really great, informative book about chips. I
Speaker 2
think I part read and part listened to, but it's Andre Agassi's book, Open. And it's a good book. He describes his journey with tennis and with such like candor and reflection. And he has just like this entrenched love-hate relationship with the sport. And it drove both his most destructive and his most triumphant moments. I have obviously a highly toxic family relationship with his father, but it defines so much of him and his success. And it's just incredible to see someone who's so accomplished share so openly and it humanizes his journey. And I think it's quite powerful. And I'm actually not even a big tennis fan, quite frankly. So that was what made this even more interesting is just to read it from that perspective. I
Speaker 3
love that.
