Jaz's Introduction: So you might have come across the BioClear matrices. They've been kind of taken dentistry by storm over the last few years. I was first exposed to them maybe about, gosh, nine, ten years ago. And this mad scientist type figure came on the scene, Dr. David Clark. And I just loved his quirkiness, his humour and just the way his brain worked.
Jaz’s Introduction:Now, fast forward some years, I used their anterior matrices for black triangle closure. I had some good success. And as an associate, I never got to purchase the posterior matrices, although I did do a hands on workshop and I was quite impressed. But today, this episode is not about any matrix system. It's not a sponsored episode.
It is just to shine a light on some really important principles that we can learn from the bioclear philosophy. We're just about still in adhesive month, it's February, so we're focusing on adhesive dentistry and maybe part two will fall into early March. Now in this part one we focus on posterior. What are the principles of cavity preparation and the BioClear approach?
I mean how do they do it with just one big increment, very different to the small increments that we're used to using. In fact they're very similar themes to the last episode we discussed with Dr. Ahmed Tadfi on the fast modeling composite technique. And so there are a few crossovers. So we're really spoiling you this month with these really cool episodes about posterior bread and butter at adhesive dentistry, and it was great to host a Protruserati Dr. David Carroll and his colleague, Diana McKenna. Look, David has been a Protruserati for over a year.
