The Difference Between Deterministic and Always Encrypted?
Always Encrypted supports two ways of encrypting a column of data. By the way, it's always using the same key. It is also available in Azure SQL DB, in managed instance, and also in Cosmos DB. The nice thing about deterministic is that it can be queried easily without using a secure enclave.
