The History of Nuclear Thermal Propulsion
The main uses of nuclear right on on land so for electrification purposes, they've been the very small scale. Nuclear thermal propulsion systems do is utilize the heat from a fissioning nuclear reactor and the chain reaction to heat and pressurize the liquid rocket propellant. There is another approach to nuclear propulsion in space which is called nuclear electric propulsion or NEP. It basically converts thermal energy into that in front that you know react fission reactor chamber into electrical energy.
