The Silent Aircraft Initiative

The Silent Aircraft Initiative is an attempt to reduce aircraft noise. It uses a blended wing body, something like a big delta wing, and every passenger sits inside the wing. Engines are buried well inside the structure, which helps reduce the noise that's coming out of them. And it's also operated in such a way that you reduce the noise exposure on the ground so that you spend less time low above areas near airports.
