Neurodism in the Early Nineties

The revival of the fortunes of neurodism can be traced to two coinciding events in the early 18 nineties. The first was the famine of 18 91 18 90 that we talked about in episode ten point. Then, when czar nicholas the second ascended the throne, he marked the occasion by granting wide reaching amnesties and pardons that invited former political prisoners to rejoin society. And because they had gone into isolation holding old neurotist ideas, they came out of that isolation holding those same old ideas. So going to the people had failed in 18 74, but suddenly it was maybe an idea whose time had come by 18 94.
