The Challenger Center for Space Science Education

On April 29th, 1986, astronauts Dick Scobee, Judith Resnick and Michael Smith are all buried at Arlington National Cemetery. In 2015, the Kennedy Space Center opened an exhibit called Forever Remembered where visitors can see debris from the Challenger's final mission. Every year in late January or early February, NASA holds its day of remembrance to honor the lives lost in the Challenger tragedy as well as those lost in the Apollo 1 fire of 1967 and the destruction of the Columbia in 2003.
