How to Measure Success With Inter-Sourcing Practices

We don't have really measures but I'm talking just about the documentation framework. We define that set of rules and open the framework for collaboration like GitHub projects mostly. Teams sometimes flag me and tell me I have been working the documentation framework and I really need this feature. What do you think? I say go for it and then they change the code. They did a message request in the framework repository and me and my colleague would review it and approve it or ask for changes if it was the case. Then a new version was released of the framework.
