Freddie Demuth was born and adopted by a working class family. He thought, apparently, all his life that Engels was his father. Marx insisted on correcting the point on his deathbed when he told Marx's daughter that it was really Marx, who was the father of Freddie. A clear case of a socialist, not one in credit for his physical productivity.
