The popular understanding is the social credit system is a nation wide system that evaluates citizens trustworthiness and signs them a single numerical score. It's based on, you know, their behavior in social media, their ideological purity, their conformity to the law,. Their reliability of their friends, actually, and acquaintances. They lose points for spending too much time playing games, for obviously criticizing the party or the governent, and for minor crimes like j walking.
