Asura would have to stand on its own but it seems that the city had learned enough from its past to be able to protect its immediate future. In Anatolia which had only been occupied by relatively insignificant societies who were simply living an agricultural existence of self-preservation with little imperial aspirations. However they would soon be joined by people migrating from their north and the land surrounding the Black Sea by peoples talking in a very early form of Indo-European language. The Egyptians were slowly developing links to the Canaanite lands of the Levant. On the Sinai Peninsula between Egypt and Canaan the Egyptian hieroglyphs were evolving into something more resembling of a modern alphabet.
