The Social Contract and the French Revolution

Rousseau believed that society basically has a prevailing social contract. He also tied this to an idea of a general will, which I don't think is a realistic description of what's going on. We all kind of are bound by and live up to the social contract; we have to accept it. This social contract is directly brought into critical race theory, in case you need to know.
