In 1973 Geico removed occupational and age qualifications for drivers. In 1974 12.5 percent of their new policyholders were from groups that historically were excluded from the company. They raise rates 18 percent in 75 But 38 percent in 1976. New York I think was one state when New Jersey Kind of declined to him or at least put off the question of raising rates.
