The Body Keeps the Score

Our sexual story is impacted not only from church history, but also purity culture and untold stories that we don't really know about. And so what ends up happening is this clay of our sexual life begins to be maybe messed with. Maybe we go through something like a sexual assault, we're abused. Something about a developing body part is highlighted, named, criticized. That begins this process of weaving sexual shame into our life.
