Is There a Game Theory Approach to Dating Apps?
Dating apps set up what's referred to as a game theoretical situation. When two people meet on an app or encounter one another, you only have a certain amount of information about the other. To win would be to attract a swipe from somebody that you've matched with and to lose would be to get the wrong sort of swipe. As in chess, you get a higher score for beating a player who's beat more other players. Tinder now entirely denies that it uses the ELO system.
