Brad Heywood: The question of self determination itself still exists as a site of struggle between revisionists and revolutionaries. In the case of black liberation, much of the dividing lines of class that Heywood addresses in this text still exist. When we move to indigenous struggles, we see ostensibly left formations either ignoring the issues of decolonization or dismissing them as ethno-nationalist projects. So all of these examples highlight the fact that questions of selfdetermination are still central to the struggle against revisionism.
