Elgos Schlegel is unsatisfied with Kant's take on the beauty because it seems to marginalize it. He says we are excited about the sublime because it does connote something that is too vast for us to take in. The romantics want to vindicate the aesthetic as our mode of relating to the absolute to the infinite.
