Friendship in the Face of Tragedy

This chapter tells the story of two separate friendships. The first friendship is between Abe and Ed, who were close friends and were together in the World Trade Center during the 9/11 attacks. Despite the danger, Abe decided to stay with Ed, who was quadriplegic, until the end. The second friendship is between Jan and Cheryl, who initially disliked each other because they were married to the same man at different times. However, for the sake of their children, they worked on their relationship and became close friends.
