Joseph: Our government doesn't proclaim to speak for God though. And that's an important thing. But I think it's important to think about, he says, a quote from Peter ends who wrote a book called The Bible Tells Me So. He said many Christians have been taught that the Bible is truth downloaded from heaven. Joseph: People who wrestle with faith and like actively engage it can understand that that doesn't mean that God is not present or acting. It's just that people are involved too.
