Churches and the Great Acceleration

To produce things of the great acceleration, you've got to have tremendous amounts of resources and energy. In churches, our resource has been volunteerism. What if, just like oil that now costs, what if, justlike gas, that's not as easy to get? And i think what's happened is, perhaps part of the transition from the great acceleration to the great slowdown, is this rethinking of what people want from life. People are being much more discerning. So part of the change is, if your energy base to run the kind of services you are running has diminished, how do you adapt to that? Is that a challenge?
