Nirvana is a state of mind characterized by inner peace, more clarity and wisdom. Nirvana can be translated as quenching as in quenching the thirst or the craving. It can also be translated as blowing out or extinguishing as in blowing out a candle or a fire. Who wouldn't want that? And you can have that by practicing.
