Identify Your Feelings, Not Your Thoughts

We connect with feelings, not thoughts. So ask your partner or someone else often how they're feeling and make sure they answer with the feeling, not a thought. If you're really stuck, use a scale of one to six. And if someone has super low emotional intelligence, or if you do, a one to six scale is great.
