The European Union's Cold War on Russia

The European Union is trying to cut its energy relationship with Russia. And one of the ways that the region has done this is by emphasizing nuclear energy. France relies very heavily on nuclear energy and in particular, it relies on uranium for that nuclear energy coming from Niger. Many countries across the global south have left leaning governments or nationalist governments that are against these imperialist policies. They don't want to be resource colonies of the Western capitalist nations.
