The Special Mission of John the Baptist
So what do we know about John the Baptist? Why do we remember him as a saint? Yeah, well, I mean, I guess we could go back once again to Gabriel's enunciation to Zechariah. The son that Zecharia and Elizabeth are to expect is one who has this special mission. This is a man who is sent by God with a particular mission in bringing about this kind of decisive moment of salvation.
