Hebrew - Adam Is Made From the Adama

In hebrew the phrase is adam, which here is translated a man. Thers a play on words in the original language that we miss in the english translation. In Hebrew, adam is made from the adama, meaning human has a symbiotic relationship with the earth. He, in the story, is literally made from the dust. Yet at the same time, we read that god breathed into his breast, into his nostrils, the breath of life, and the man became a living being.
