The Politics of Safe Supply
Each province is taking a different approach to the issue of contaminated drug supply. In British Columbia, for example, they have a similar combination of treatment and harm reduction services. Alberta has taken a very different approach more recently where they're very focused on abstinence and recovery and residential treatment. There are more than 20 peer-reviewed publications that have now been published that have studied the effects of safer supply.
