Consumer Price Inflation: What It Is and Why It Matters
Eric Liu: Why should we care about anything other than the price inflation, which is what affects how much money you got left in your wallet? He says it's too early to know for sure whether this inflation that we've clearly been having is transitory or if it's because of supply shocks. The most important thing is figuring out where we get into a genuine monetary variety of inflation, he says. Liu: We're going to look at historical examples of the supply shock variety and compare them to what we're experiencing today.
