Every time I laugh I should just write it down. If you're from a nation of funny folks we just don't tend to have the same word economy that you would in US stand-up comedy. The model in the United States tends to be driven by late night television appearances which pretty much dictate that you need to make people laugh about every 12 seconds. That would not be the case in Ireland or the UK because the models over there are driven by the Edinburgh Comedy Festival where people unleash a new hour of storytelling and comedy basically every year. It seems like a more of a natural way of communicating whereas the US is very much set of punchline set of punch line when it comes to all
