The Cost of Housing in London
Cost of housing has been an issue since Margaret Thatcher famously sold off council housing and didn't replace affordable rented housing. You now have nurses living in London facing the prospect of astronomical rent and they can't afford it. In some parts of the country you get a shortage of key workers as they were described during the pandemic when we all clapped clapping doesn't cost anything. Public transport public transport is astronomical in London but it is worse in some other areas to get a bus if you're lucky enough to get it let alone a train.
