Cotton diaspora is not just being east London, it's people working class families and maybe moved out for again 50, 60, 70s. They didn't just all move lights and become flag wave racist, you know, they moved out, they moved to many places. A good friend of mine works with me, lives also in Brighton and he was talking about like he came from south London but he moved out to Brighton decades ago. He found the book absolutely fascinating because it still reflects a kind of ethos, a mentality of working class life that he recognized. I'm hoping it has that kind of universal appeal, or at least when I say universal I mean universal to enough politically
