The Strid

Wyatt Gifford was a friend of Wiegel's at college. The two had spent many hours walking along the Strid together. One day they went to look for Wyatt, who hadn't been seen in days. They found him on the banks of the river near where Wordsworth and Whittaker were killed. A hand shot out from beneath the rushing water with an arm wrapped around it. It cried "Help me! Help me!" but there was no sign of its owner. He ran back into the woods as fast as his legs could carry him.
