You Were No Son of Mine in Conflict With Her Sense of Duty
I think that that dissonance that is very present inside of her, her real, the disgust that she feels toward Aegon was so central in last week's episode. She doesn't see the whole picture there for for what duty looks like to Renira, et cetera. That conflict feels very true to Alice's character and of a piece with what her journey inside of this episode is where later in her conversation with Otto, she says exactly this. You know, how would I even know what I wanted? This is what's starting to dawn on her over the course of the episode.
