The Death of Ed Gein
Ed Gein was found guilty of murdering Bernice Warden in 1968. He had told a psychiatrist that he didn't know if killing her was intentional or accidental. Ed's house and the land became a tourist attraction after it was destroyed by a fire three days before an auction. His car which he used to transport dead bodies was auctioned and sold for $760, Bunny Gibbons then charged $0.25 admission to be able to see it. In July of 1984, 77 year old Ed Gein died from lung cancer. The gravestone is currently in storage at the local sheriff's department.
