The Role of Free Speech in American History
I remember during the George W. Bush administration, like we used to be taught in school, like the Nazis would march through Skokie. And if someone brought this up, they were usually on the left, right? We're such a culture that is committed to free speech that we allow that. That's sort of like the basis that holds the country together. I mean, when you just come out there and you just say, we don't stand for it anymore, what else is there to do?
