What Is in Rate the College Degree?

i came to lexicography with a college degree, though i did get one. And i was a furniture mover for a large portion of my adult life. There is very little overlap between what colleges will teach you about lexicography and what we actually do as a dictionary. Most people that i know in the working on oxford dictionaries or other dictionaries didn't start out thinking, i wanted to find words. You know, they had a much more analytic frame of mind.
