How to Diagnose a Perinomonic Effusion

A normal pleural pH should be around 7.4 to 7.6 but less than 7.3 we think is certainly abnormal. This happens because you have cells in that space that are sort of eating up the glucose that we're going to talk about in a second. The lower that pH, the more concerned I am so I've had some really bad ones with Pusses coming out which is the formal definition of ampaima and the pH could be less than 7 or even 6.9.
