The NFL teams collectively are worth something like 140 billion dollars today. That comes through shared agreements is 11 billion dollars. And then there's another six or so that comes from local revenue that teams individually generate. The TV networks were getting a great deal here. These were landmark contracts, but the attention, the viewership that the games got and then the advertising units that were sold was huge.
