Florida is considering a bill that would require journalists to register with the government if they publish anonymously. CNN's John Sutter says he'd rather go to jail than be identified as an anonymous user of social media sites like Reddit or Medium. He thinks it could give judges too much discretion in stoking rage, and people might not trust them. "I'm worried about it because it's something that the states are laboratories for democracy and also for really bad ideas," said Sutter.
