The Parallel Between Teenage Brains and Teen Brains
In teens, the pruning of gray matter is not a bad thing. Researchers found that in terms of like the scope and scale of volume loss in mothers and adolescent girls, it was very similar. This doesn't necessarily mean that the exact same kinds of changes are happening in the brain when someone becomes a teen versus a parent.
