Birth has always been safer at home, and most birth situations can be t transferred to a hospital. What you're looking at is an over culture of control that stripping you of your own power. As long as the baby has fourin four, five fingers, ten fingers and ten as, it's ok. See, they're not looking at the drama that's happening to the woman.
