Papa Says That Witgenstein's Idea Was Ingenious
Witgenstein claimed that all philosophy consists of meaningless statements. This meant there could not possibly be philosophical problems, alleged problems in philosophy. He categorized into four kinds: logical and mathematical problems, actually scientific problems, combinations those first two kinds and the fourth kind, meaningless statements. The most famous statement ever uttered by witkenstein is 'Where one cannot speak thereof, must be silent' Pope says he fails to understand why language analysts would even want to do that job. Why do philosophy if it's not about deep problem solving, and instead it's about puzzle solving, like spending your work day doing crosswords or something?
