The gospel is that Christ has removed your condemnation for you by dying in your place on the cross. Our concern is not merely therapeutic in making somebody feel better, but where do they stand before a holy God because of their sinfulness? No matter how good or bad you feel, you have to stand before aholy God on the day of judgment. And the only hope you have is in Christ.
