The Idea of the Founding Fathers

The notion of the founding fathers is a concept that evolved and developed out of other earlier, simpler concepts. The roots of the idea of founders started from just 39 persons who signed the constitution after it had been drafted at the convention in philadelphia. This leaves out certain very important and famous leading figures in the revolution and early republic such as thomas jefferson, john adams and john hancock among others.
