The Death of a Child With Disabilities

Danny's story is emblematic of what was going on at the time, which was there weren't family support systems in place. It wasn't that easy to get your child into an inclusive educational placement. The placements that did exist often were segregated schools. And so he gets placed, and he doesn't have these behaviors at home, which tells you something. You know, again, that structure control, lack of agency. I think it was a time m i hope to day it's better. But we certainly don't have the kind of inclusive placements in education as there should be.
