The Importance of ADHD in the Assessment
The last of the diagnostic criteria is that your symptoms could not be reasonably caused by a different psychiatric disorder. So it's unlikely that there are very common conditions, traits, abilities that might say you mean you can't have ADHD. But as a big asterisk, if you've got a lifetime history of a different psychiatric Disorder, as well as now having these symptoms, it’s possible that it could be that other psychiatric disorder. And I don't want to scare people and make them think, Oh God, they're going to think this is anxiety or they're goingto think this is something else.
