Being intimate with god means to be fully in communion with the world. The most intimate spiritual life is the way out of alienation and separation. You cannot be connected with god and not connected with all people. That's the source of intercessory prayer that yous asking about somebody over there. It's knowing that all the people are right where you ar, in the same house, in thesame place.
