5,000 people are diagnosed every year with ALS also known as Lou Gehrig's disease. The deadly illness affects the nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord causing people to lose their ability to move and speak. With the help of artificial intelligence, John Son has been able to keep his ability to speak through a process called voice preservation.
